MASTERS MESSAGE:
Brethren,
As the Masonic year progresses we are in the midst of Autumn. What comes to my mind in Autumn is change. As the newly elected master of Trinity Lodge I see change in all aspects of life. In the beauty of the fall weather with it’s cool mornings, bright days and soft nights, the trees are showing off their pallet of colors.
As our country awaits change in its leadership, Trinity Lodge is changing also.
When I was raised a few years ago I was one of the youngest members attending lodge. Now, I am proud that I am not. Trinity Lodge raised 12 new members last year, one of the highest in our category in MA. This didn’t come easy; the lodge worked hard to investigate and raise the candidates. Trinity Lodge now has a full slate of Officers for the upcoming year. Thank you to all the brothers who made this possible.
A special thanks goes to all the brothers who participated in the Square and Compasses Day activities at the Lodge. The Open House, CHIP event and Yard Sale brought more visitors to Trinity Lodge than I have ever seen. We were able to speak with perspective candidates, process children thru the CHIP event and raise funds for the Lodge. This was a great send off for W. Merrill and a great start for the new line.
I want to thank W. Merrill for the opportunity to hold the Yard Sale and thank Brothers Prentiss, Stahl, Titus, Braunhardt, Peete, Seymour, Steveson, Calhoun and especially Br Kent for their efforts. I would also like to thank our new Brothers Cost, Danby, Hantzis, Kyle, and Sargent for all their efforts on Square and Compasses Day.
I look forward to setting the craft at work and giving the necessary instruction in the upcoming year.
This is an excerpt from Spencer Johnson’s National Bestseller “Who moved my cheese” about change:
The Handwriting on the Wall states:
Change Happens
Anticipate Change
Monitor Change
Adapt to Change Quickly
Change
Enjoy Change
Be ready to Change Again
Enjoy the cheese!
Fraternally,
Wor. Jerry Collins
